Massage is one of the oldest, simplest, and most natural forms of therapy. It relaxes and relieves the discomfort associated with stress, muscular overuse and many chronic pain syndromes, in some ways by releasing endorphins (the body's natural pain killer). Massage can also greatly reduce the development of chronic pain if used early enough after an accident involving injury and trauma. For spinal injuries, it works well in conjunction with chiropractic adjustments in stabalizing the spine.
My massage therapy will improve your blood circulation, relieve pain, and expedite the removal of metabolic waste products from your muscles. You'll find increased flexibility of muscles, ligaments, and other soft tissues. It's also useful for athletes, allowing them to warm up before a sporting event, train at a higher level, provide relief from overusing muscles, and help prevent injuries and strains.
You'll be more energized after a few treatments. And if you're trying to tone up, massage therapy helps restore the contour of your body by reducing fat deposits while improving your skin tone.
I am currently a student of massage therapy and will graduate in September 2006. I am very well-trained in many types of massage, and continue to advance my knowledge of the various therapies.
Contact me with your special needs and I will work with you to customize a program to ensure the best possible experience and treatment of any conditions.

When I received a neck injury in an auto accident, I consulted an orthopedic surgeon, chiropractor, neurologist, and neurosurgeon. All they could offer was pain medication, which was addicting and after a time was no longer effective. I even tried physical therapy but the muscle spasms and pain were so severe that I received little benefit. Finally I talked to my orthopedic surgeon about massage therapy and he felt it would help. Massage therapy helped relax my muscles, reducing the muscle spasms, and diminished my pain. Now I am scheduled for weekly treatments in order to help return the tissues to normal, and enable me to lead a more normal life. And I find I am taking less pain medication.
